An Easy Update to Modernize Your Home
It's hard to believe we've lived in our home for almost three years now. It seems like just yesterday we were in our small 2 bedroom apartment (featured on The Everygirl here) where we lived with Everly for the first eight months of her life.
Lately I'm very drawn to simple, clean lines and more modern design elements, and I've been working on updating/modernizing various areas of our home with this vision in mind.
Since we don't exactly have a true entryway, and our front door practically opens right into our living room, I created a faux-entryway with a side table and two large baskets to hold the girls' toys and books. I absolutely love the side table (a Home Goods find) but I wasn't loving the square mirror that was placed over the table previously. I've been seeing this round black mirror everywhere, so when I saw it go on sale (30% off!) around the holidays I snapped it up. I was worried it would break during shipment but it was packed so securely and arrived in perfect condition. The black rim looks metal but it's actually a really nice, durable rubber. I'll be sharing a few of the other updates I've made soon...but in the meantime, let me know if you love this mirror as much as I do!
