Glossier Lives Up To The Hype
I'm not sure what took me so long to check out cult beauty brand Glossier, but better late than never I suppose. Glossier is the beauty brainchild of Emily Weiss (former Vogue editor turned beauty website content creator turned skincare/makeup company founder) whom I have been following for a decade. I regularly devour the famous Into The Gloss Top Shelf features and consider myself a bit of a skincare junkie, so again - I have no idea what has taken this long to get on board the Glossier train. In any event, I finally took advantage of a recent Black Friday 20% off sale to try just two products, and it's safe to say I'm hooked.
I have always had issues with my eyebrows. Overplucking in my teen years has left me with less than ideal fullness, and one side is decidedly lower than the other. I've tried filling them in with pencils, shadows, Anastasia's Dipbrow, and nothing has looked natural or believable. Until now.
For my first Glossier order - I thought I would try the well-known Boybrow, just to see what all the fuss was about. I was pleasantly surprised/overjoyed with this eyebrow magic pomade in a tube. The "all-in-one eyebrow fluffer, filler and shaper" is just what the brow doctor ordered. The blond color was light enough to match my hair color, but dark enough to fill in sparse areas. It has a waxy consistency somewhere between glue and mascara, so it holds the hairs in place all day. I brush it on my brows (be sure to brush the hairs UP as you go) and put a little more product on that one pesky side that needs a little more love.
I also ordered Cloud Paint and have to say, I love the color Puff. It's super easy to use and gives you that pretty, naturally flushed look you can wear every day. I just rub a little on the apples on my cheeks on those days I'm going for a no-makeup look. It's very blendable and buildable, and provides all-day wear. It's one of those products you really can't screw up. We all need more of those, no?
